Carrot and Sweet Potato Mash:
Ingredients:
- 1 medium carrot, peeled and diced
- 1 small sweet potato, peeled and diced
- Water (for boiling)
Instructions:
- Fill a small saucepan with water and bring it to a boil.
- Add the diced carrot and sweet potato to the boiling water.
- Boil the vegetables until they are soft and easily mashable. This usually takes around 10-15 minutes.
- Once the vegetables are cooked, drain the water and let them cool slightly.
- Transfer the cooked carrot and sweet potato to a blender or food processor.
- Blend the vegetables until you achieve a smooth and creamy consistency. If needed, you can add a small amount of boiled water or breast milk/formula to adjust the consistency and make it easier for your baby to consume.
- Allow the mixture to cool completely before serving.
- Serve a small portion to your baby and store the remaining mash in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
Note: It's important to introduce new foods to your baby one at a time and watch for any signs of allergies or digestive issues. Consult with your pediatrician before introducing solid foods to your baby and for guidance on appropriate portion sizes and timing.
Remember to always ensure the ingredients are fresh and properly cooked, and take any necessary precautions to accommodate your baby's specific dietary needs and any potential allergies or intolerances.
